The 9th Edition of Africa Agri Expo 2026 Kicks Off at KICC

February 12, 2026

The 9th Africa Agri Expo 2026 officially opened on Wednesday, 11th February 2026 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC) in Nairobi, running through 12th February, and has already attracted agricultural stakeholders from across Africa and beyond. The expo, one of the continent’s premier agribusiness showcases, serves as a hub for innovation, trade, and investment, highlighting the latest in farming technology and sustainable agricultural solutions.

The Exhibition Opening Ribbon Cutting Ceremony set the tone for the event, with participation from senior leaders shaping the continent’s agricultural future. The ceremony was led by a representative from the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, alongside Sushil Prasad, Deputy High Commissioner of India, and Dr. Anne Phoebe (Hon.), Director of the Kenya National Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The gathering also included representatives from the Kenya Agricultural and Livestock Research Organization (KALRO), various county governments, and other stakeholders, underlining the collaborative effort needed to advance Africa’s agricultural sector.

From the first hours of the expo, attendees were immersed in a showcase of cutting-edge agricultural technologies. Exhibition halls featured advanced machinery, smart irrigation systems, precision-farming tools, post-harvest handling solutions, and innovative agri-inputs, including seeds, fertilizers, and crop protection products. Agri-tech solutions, from drones and farm automation platforms to digital tools integrating Internet of Things (IoT) data with real-time decision support, were drawing significant attention from farmers, investors, and agribusiness leaders alike.

In addition to the exhibition, the event hosts conferences, panel discussions, and networking sessions, covering topics such as data-driven farming, sustainable agriculture, investment in agri-tech, scalable business models, and financing solutions. These sessions provide critical insights for farmers, policymakers, and investors, fostering partnerships that can drive market growth and enhance food security across the continent.

County delegations are leveraging the expo to showcase local agricultural initiatives and explore collaborations that can improve irrigation, livestock value chains, youth engagement in agribusiness, and cooperative development. These initiatives, presented alongside international innovations, demonstrate the diverse and dynamic nature of Africa’s agricultural landscape.

Beyond trade and technology, the expo catalyzes transformative change, highlighting the urgent need to modernize agriculture, employment, and food security. As deals are made, partnerships are formed, and knowledge is exchanged, the Africa Agri Expo 2026 reaffirms its position as more than just an exhibition: it is a platform shaping the future of farming in Africa.

With thousands of visitors, more than a hundred exhibitors and a lineup of expert speakers, the expo continues to reinforce Kenya’s role as a leading hub for agricultural innovation and investment in Africa.
