Tambuzi, the renowned Kenyan rose grower, took center stage as the winner in the Foreign Suppliers category at the 23rd Dutch Flower Awards, held on November 5, 2025, during the Royal FloraHolland’s Trade Fair in Aalsmeer. This recognition celebrates Tambuzi‘s impactful contributions to sustainable floriculture, aligning with the awards’ theme, “IMPACT – Building sustainable impact together.”
The Dutch Flower Awards honoured excellence in three categories: Flowers, Plants, and Foreign Suppliers. While Kwekerij Vicini won in the Flowers category and OVATA in Plants, Tambuzi’s victory distinguished Kenya’s growing influence in the global floriculture industry. Tambuzi’s success is a testament to its holistic approach that integrates sustainability practices such as water conservation, renewable energy use, and community empowerment initiatives including healthcare, education, and women’s empowerment.
Jan van Dam, CEO of Dutch Flower Group, highlighted the vital role of collaboration across the supply chain, projecting a steady turnover of €2.3 billion for 2025. He emphasized that close cooperation with growers like Tambuzi is essential for innovation and achieving sustainability goals in floriculture.
