The Kenya Flower Council (KFC) has announced the appointment of Catherine Mukoko as its new Chief Operations Officer (COO). With over 20 years of experience in strategic leadership, policy advocacy, and stakeholder collaboration, Ms Mukoko’s expertise is set to strengthen KFC’s mission of supporting the growth and sustainability of Kenya’s floriculture sector.

With a passion for governance, stakeholder collaboration, and policy advocacy, she aims to spearhead initiatives that enhance operational efficiency. A flower enthusiast at heart, she looks forward to transforming her “brown thumb” into a thriving “green thumb” as she immerses herself in the sector.

Her career includes senior leadership roles at the Kenya Association of Manufacturers (KAM) and the Federation of Kenya Employers (FKE), where she successfully drove initiatives to promote organisational sustainability and growth.

This extensive experience aligns with KFC’s mission to represent and advocate for growers in Kenya’s globally renowned cut flower industry, a critical driver of the nation’s economy.

KFC’s objectives of ensuring Kenya’s floriculture sector remains competitive, environmentally responsible, and attuned to evolving industry trends continue to underscore its commitment to fostering sustainable horticultural practices and innovation.

Ms Mukoko’s leadership will focus on operational excellence and aligning KFC’s strategies with the needs of its members and broader industry priorities. Her academic credentials include an MBA in Strategic Management, a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing) from Africa Nazarene University, and certifications in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). She is also a Certified Professional Trainer and Mediator and a specialist in Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and anti-corruption compliance.
