Kenya Airways recently appointed Absolom Ngari as the new Head of Cargo Commercial and Global Sales. He succeeds Peter Musola, who has transitioned from the cargo division to take up the role of Country Manager, Ghana.

The appointment was confirmed by KQ Cargo Director, Fitsum Abadi Gebrehawari, who described it as a “replacement with a wider scope,” reflecting the expanded strategic and commercial mandate of the position.

Ngari brings 19 years of extensive experience in air cargo management, strategy, and commercial leadership. Prior to joining Kenya Airways, he served as General Manager for the Africa region at Sharaf Group, where he oversaw regional cargo operations and commercial development.

His career spans a broad range of leadership roles across the aviation and logistics sectors, having previously worked with AB Africa Aviation Consultancy, Aero Africa, Global Focus Logistics, Turkish Airlines Cargo, TAL Aviation Cargo, Africa Direct, Africa Potential Consulting, and Swissport Cargo Services.

With his deep industry expertise and strong regional and international exposure, Ngari is expected to strengthen Kenya Airways’ cargo commercial strategy and drive growth across global markets, reinforcing the airline’s position as a leading air cargo carrier in Africa.
