HortiFlora Expo 2026: Driving Trade, Investment and Innovation in African Horticulture

February 26, 2026

The Ethiopian Horticulture Producer Exporters Association (EHPEA) has been working closely with HPP Worldwide to ensure the continued success of HortiFlora Expo 2026, firmly positioning the event as a key global platform for connecting actors across the horticulture supply chain.

Scheduled for 24–26 March 2026 at the Addis International Convention Center in Addis Ababa, the capital of Africa’s second-largest flower-exporting country, the 10th edition of HortiFlora Expo has already confirmed participation from over 100 exhibitors, underscoring strong international interest.

Ethiopia’s horticulture sector is underpinned by diverse agro-climatic conditions and strategic proximity to major markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. These advantages are complemented by supportive government policies, including duty-free importation of machinery and tax holidays, as well as Ethiopian Airlines’ extensive perishable cargo network and established cold-chain infrastructure at major international airports. As a result, the country produces and exports high-value horticultural products, generating hundreds of millions of US dollars annually.

Operating under socially and environmentally responsible practices, the industry employs hundreds of thousands of Ethiopians while promoting vital knowledge and technology transfer that continues to strengthen national agricultural development.

HortiFlora Expo 2026 comes at a time of sustained growth for Ethiopia’s horticulture industry. The event will bring together producers, exporters, buyers, investors, technology providers, and policymakers from around the world to explore innovation, sustainability, logistics, finance, and evolving global market trends, translating dialogue into tangible business and investment opportunities.

The Expo will feature B2B, B2C, and B2G matchmaking sessions, alongside high-level forums, playing a critical role in accelerating direct sales, partnerships, and international market exposure.

Panel discussions during the Expo’s sideline events will address key industry themes, including food safety and consumer trends, circular solutions, sustainable finance, AI and sustainability, fruits and vegetables market trends, horti-park development, sea freight logistics, and gender and sustainability.

With more than 150 exhibitors expected, HortiFlora Expo 2026 stands as a must-attend event for stakeholders seeking to engage with and invest in the future of Africa’s horticulture sector.
