Fruit Attraction 2025, held from September 30 to October 2 at IFEMA MADRID in Spain, has emerged as the largest edition in its history, solidifying its role as the premier global event for fruit and vegetable marketing. Organised by IFEMA MADRID and FEPEX, with Andalusia as the main sponsor, this 17th edition demonstrates remarkable growth and international appeal, reflecting the dynamic nature of the fresh produce industry.
Record-Breaking Participation and Space Expansion
This year’s Fruit Attraction attracted 2,460 exhibitors from 64 countries, marking an 8.4% increase in exhibitor participation compared to 2024. The event spans over 78,000 square meters of exhibition space, which is a 10% expansion from the previous year, making it one of the biggest trade fairs in the sector. The fair is expected to draw over 120,000 professionals representing 150 countries, underscoring its global pull and significance as a business and innovation hub.
Strategic Layout and Enhanced Experience
Taking place across 10 halls (numbered 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14), the event is organized by region and sector to optimize the experience for visitors and exhibitors alike. This deliberate sectorisation allows targeted interaction and efficient networking opportunities, tailored to the diverse needs of participants from different parts of the fruit and vegetable supply chain.
Key Areas and Industry Focus
The Fresh Produce Area dominates the exhibition, representing approximately 70% of the fair space, highlighting its core strategic importance. Complementing this are areas dedicated to the Auxiliary Industry and Fresh Food Logistics, the latter focusing on cold chain solutions and transportation innovations vital for maintaining quality and freshness during produce distribution. Notably, the Innova&Tech section, which includes Biotech Attraction and Smart Agro, witnessed a significant increase of 31% over 2024, emphasizing the ongoing surge in technological innovation and research applied to the fruit and vegetable sector.
