Flower Logistics Africa (FLA) & Perishable Logistics Africa (PLA) 2026 is delighted to announce the Shippers Council of Eastern Africa (SCEA) as an Industry Partner for the upcoming edition, an association that underscores a shared commitment to advancing Eastern Africa’s shipping performance, logistics efficiency, and global trade competitiveness.
SCEA is the region’s premier advocacy body representing cargo owners across Eastern Africa. The Council plays a pivotal role in policy engagement, trade facilitation, capacity building, and the promotion of sustainable shipping practices. Through its work, SCEA supports the growth of regional exports while helping align industry operations with international standards and evolving market requirements.
As global trade places heightened demands on reliability, multimodal connectivity, and resilient supply chains, the importance of efficient freight services, robust port infrastructure, and effective regulatory coordination has never been greater. SCEA’s expertise at the intersection of shipping, logistics, trade policy, and supply-chain resilience makes its participation at FLA & PLA 2026 particularly timely, as the industry navigates capacity constraints, cost pressures, and shifting trade dynamics.
Scheduled for 30–31 March 2026 at Emara Ole-Sereni, Nairobi, FLA & PLA 2026 is Africa’s leading platform dedicated exclusively to flower and perishable logistics. The conference brings together growers, exporters, freight forwarders, airlines, cold-chain specialists, ports, infrastructure providers, regulators, and global buyers to address the most pressing challenges and unlock the biggest opportunities, shaping Africa’s perishables supply chains.
SCEA’s association as an Industry Partner strengthens the platform’s focus on:
- Strengthening Eastern Africa’s logistics and export ecosystem
- Enhancing multimodal reliability and end-to-end efficiency
- Advancing trade facilitation, compliance, and sustainability in global shipping
- Deepening collaboration between shippers, logistics providers, ports, and policymakers
- Elevating regional competitiveness in perishable and high-value trade markets
Speaking on the partnership, Agayo Ogambi, Chief Executive Officer of SCEA, noted: “This forum, drawing participation from key national, regional, and international stakeholders across the public and private sectors, is a critical platform for engaging not only on the challenges facing our logistics and shipping sector, but also on the opportunities required to unlock sustainable growth. Facilitating exports is of significant economic importance to the region, and positioning Kenya and the Port of Mombasa as a competitive regional hub for exports remains a shared priority. FLA & PLA 2026 provides a valuable opportunity to advance discussions on maritime-led multimodal transport, strengthen end-to-end logistics efficiency, and learn from global best practices that will enhance the competitiveness of Eastern Africa’s perishable exports.”
With SCEA on board, FLA & PLA 2026 reinforces its role as a catalyst for dialogue, partnership, and practical solutions, supporting a more efficient, sustainable, and globally competitive future for Africa’s perishable trade.
