Directly sourced flowers with a forward-thinking approach

Kenya serves as a crucial sourcing hub for the Hoek Group. Through Hoek Flowers Kenya, the company operates directly from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, exporting fresh flowers daily to wholesalers, florists, and retailers worldwide.

Hoek Flowers Kenya is a trailblazer in the Kenyan export sector. Their business model focuses on

sustainable, direct delivery, ensuring flowers are flown directly from the grower to the customer, bypassing unnecessary stops in the Netherlands. Unlike the traditional method where Kenyan growers send full boxes to wholesalers, Hoek Flowers Kenya curates and packs orders for florists right at the source.

A globally connected network, driven by local initiatives

The Hoek Group has been involved in the international flower and plant trade for over 40 years. With Hoek Flowers, they have established offices in Kenya, Colombia, South Africa, and the Netherlands. In these areas, they foster long-term relationships with growers and customers, prioritizing transparency, flexibility, and reliable sourcing.

Flower Trade Zwirs, the group’s specialized import and retail division, also operates in Kenya. They work directly with African growers and import flowers for large-scale distribution to supermarkets and wholesale clients, including those for the Dutch stock of Hoek Flowers.

Hoek Group at IFTEX 2025

This year, the Hoek Group made its first appearance with its own booth (F1.16) at the International Floriculture Trade Expo (IFTEX), alongside Hoek Flowers and Flower Trade Zwirs. For the Hoek Group, this event was an opportunity to engage with their international network, share their sourcing vision, and highlight their growing role in the African floral supply chain.
