The Co-operative Bank Naivasha Horticultural Fair (NHFAIR) opens its gates tomorrow, celebrating 24 years as Africa’s largest and most prestigious horticultural exhibition.

Since its modest start in 2002 with just 60 stands, NHFAIR has grown into a premier showcase for agriculture and floriculture. By 2025, exhibitors had surpassed 200, alongside record-breaking visitor numbers, cementing Naivasha’s place at the heart of global flower production.

Why Growers and Suppliers Can’t Miss It

For growers, NHFAIR offers a front-row seat to the latest farming technologies, greenhouse systems, cold-chain solutions, and new flower varieties, all critical for boosting competitiveness in global markets. It is also where farms connect with buyers, logistics providers, and exporters who directly influence market access and profitability.

For suppliers, the fair is a one-stop marketplace to showcase innovations to decision-makers in Kenya’s multi-billion-shilling horticultural sector. Many use NHFAIR as the stage to launch new products, secure contracts, and strengthen industry partnerships.

With leading players under one roof, the event has become a hub where business deals are struck, strategies are shaped, and the future of horticulture is defined.

Driving Growth in the Flower Sector

Kenya’s flower industry is a global leader, and Naivasha sits at its core. NHFAIR plays a vital role by linking local growers to international suppliers, ensuring that the sector remains innovative, sustainable, and globally competitive. From new rose varieties to state-of-the-art irrigation and energy solutions, the fair keeps Kenya’s horticulture at the cutting edge.

More than a Trade Fair – Building a Better Naivasha

NHFAIR is unique in its commitment to the community. Run entirely by volunteers, the fair channels 100% of proceeds to the NHFAIR Trust, which has invested millions of shillings in social impact projects. Beneficiaries include:

  • Naivasha Safe House and Children’s Shelter – protecting vulnerable women and children
  • Karagita Maternity Hospital & Naivasha General Hospital – improving maternal and infant healthcare
  • NACOHAG – providing HIV/AIDS and family health support
  • Schools and youth projects – desks, sanitation blocks, water tanks, and tree planting initiatives

The flagship Adopt a Village Project, launched in 2011, continues to transform rural communities with schools, clinics, boreholes, and electricity, creating long-term impact for generations.

Why NHFAIR Stands Out

  • Industry Powerhouse – A gathering of growers, breeders, exporters, and suppliers shaping the future of horticulture.
  • Strategic Location – Hosted at Naivasha Sports Club, in the heart of Kenya’s horticultural hub and close to Nairobi.
  • Community Impact – Every shilling raised supports local development, making the fair a force for both business and social change.

The Co-operative Bank Naivasha Horticultural Fair 2025 promises to be bigger, better, and more impactful than ever, bringing together growers and suppliers in a celebration of agriculture, innovation, and community transformation.
